Daniel A. Sabol

Daniel A. Sabol joined Clemans Nelson in 2026 and is the Director of Administrative Practice and Investigations. Dan represents clients before the State Employment Relations Board, OCRC, EEOC and other administrative agencies, as well as oversees CNA’s workplace investigations.  Dan advises clients in human resource management, labor relations and negotiations, regulatory compliance, discipline, and policy development. He regularly conducts training on a variety of human resource and labor issues such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, discrimination/harassment, and the use of social media in the workplace.

Prior to joining CNA, out of law school, Dan represented public and private sector employers at management side firms, before joining SERB as its Labor Relations Administrator and ALJ in Jan. 2022.  In this role, Dan oversaw SERB’s Representation and ULP Investigations departments, with his departments processing, investigating and making final recommendations on approximately 1,300 cases over 4 years, with 0 decisions overturned by the courts on appeal or mandamus.

Dan is an adjunct faculty member at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, teaching Franchise Law. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Trine University, teaching graduate-level courses at the School of Business.  Dan is the co-editor of the Ohio State Bar Association Labor and Employment newsletter, a member of the OSBA L&E section council and the Secretary/Treasurer for the Central Ohio Labor & Employment Relations Association.  Dan has also been a guest speaker at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Dan received his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and his B.A. from Wittenberg University in Business with dual concentrations in Management and Marketing.
